Science podcasts

Discovery – BBC

Explorations in the world of science.

BBC Inside Science

Dr Adam Rutherford and guests illuminate the mysteries and challenge the controversies behind the science that’s changing our world.

Nature magazine

Every show features highlighted content from the week’s edition of Nature including interviews with the people behind the science, and in-depth commentary and analysis from journalists covering science around the world.

For those who don’t know, Nature is one of the leading scientific journals

Science magazine

Science weekly – The Guardian

The award winning Science Weekly is the best place to learn about the big discoveries and debates in biology, chemistry, physics, and sometimes even maths.

I would especially recommend this one Poles apart: how do we save society. It’s about what it takes for groups of people to be polarised against each other, how to bring them together, and what might happen if we don’t. Very relevant.

The Economist: Babbage

The Economist produces a number of podcasts. This covers science and technology quite broadly. I find that the commentary is more informed than other sources at times. I can’t find a page just for this one podcast. You’ll need to search for it in your chosen podcatcher.
